Welcome to my website. I invite you to explore what I offer and decide if it fits with your needs. A bit about my background...
I'm qualified as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). I graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2009. Since then, I've worked full-time - first in hospital-based work, then with an NGO (non-government organisation) doing child-protection based work with children and families. For the last 6 years I've been in private practice offering counselling, and now working mainly with adults.
Along the way I've trained in various modalities both for my own healing and in order to best support others - family therapy, sensorimotor art therapy, dreamwork, sensorimotor psychotherapy, interpersonal therapy (IPT), internal family systems (IFS), Havening, attachment (Circle of Security, Theraplay and DDP), and more. All with a trauma-informed lens.
LGBTQ+ friendly practice
Are you feeling you could use a little extra support to navigate your life right now? Or perhaps you've been on a long road of difficulty and are living with the impact of traumatic events? Maybe a loved one has encouraged you to seek counselling, and you're not sure where to start?
Although the modalities below are within my special areas of interest, we will work together to find what works best for you based on your current needs. Working with a somatic/body -based, trauma-informed lens, and a highly trained background allows me to support your need for safety as the priority and tailor the approach to suit your needs.
I'm currently working mainly with adults.
Rodger Kamenetz, poet, teacher and author of many books including The History of Last Night's Dream is the founder of Natural Dreamwork. Deeply experiential in practice, Natural Dreamwork steps away from interpretation, instead together we seek to bring your dreams to life. Explore the deep transformation possible from attending to the part of our lives that is all too often undervalued.
"A dream ignored is like a letter unopened" ~ Rodger Kamenetz
Sensorimotor Art Therapy
Experience the power of using this creative approach to enhance your connection with your Self and your body, and to support meaning-making out of your life-experiences. The practice of Guided Drawing developed by Cornelia Elbrecht is a modality I offer and is a very effective way of working with the impacts of trauma, where challenging and intense experiences have left their imprint.
"The spontaneous movement in all of us is toward connection, health, and aliveness. No matter how withdrawn and isolated we have become or how serious the trauma we have experienced, on the deepest level, just as a plant spontaneously moves towards sunlight, there is in each of us and impulse moving toward connection and healing." ~Aline LaPierre & Lawrence Heller
Support your child's ability to successfully manage their emotions. Learn to honour your child's inborn wisdom; behaviours you may struggle with are your child's way of attempting to ensure a secure connection with you. Understand how you were parented affects what you are already doing, and not yet doing, for your child. Explore how art and play can support your child's development and your relationship with them.
"When we see a behaviour that is problematic or confusing, the first question we should ask isn't "how do we get rid of it?" but rather "what is this telling us about the child?"
I welcome any enquiries and aim to respond to you within a day or two. If I'm taking a break or away there will be a message on my phone saying so, or you'll receive a 'vacation responder' message from my email.

Soul Trees Program
I have partnered with TreeSisters, whose global network is transforming both lives and landscapes in extraordinary ways.
TreeSisters is funding the restoration of environments, biodiversity and communities within more than 10 major ecosystems around the global Tropics, through a diverse portfolio of vetted, trusted reforestation projects and in the process, planting millions of trees. Join us in making ecological restoration the new norm! www.treesisters.org
For each client hour, I donate funds for 3 more trees to be planted. My goal is to support the planting of about 1500 trees per year. This is embedding restoration into business.
